Outside this role, I serve as a board member for the family company, Noogilla Cattle Company, based south of Mitchell and serve with the local fire brigade. I also assist a few local organisations in the bar at events, have a small mob of breeders on agistment locally and occasionally jump in to assist in my partners catering company, so plenty to keep me busy. • Sam Curran

    Sarah Donovan

Born a Canadian however been living a very true-blue life here in Queensland after falling in love with an Australian cowboy, Nicolas Curran, who showed me the ropes of cattle farming with his family. From showing cattle at the Ekka to chasing scrubbers in the paddock, and everything in-between, this lifestyle was one not to be missed! Over 10 years later we married and are now living in the Maranoa on a 10,000 acre family breeding block with our son Cooper John. I am a very active contributing member on the farm and can do most things, but especially love my team of working dogs. I have loved the Advancing Beef Leaders program, which has opened such doors for me as being on the SQNNSW Next Gen Council as well as a member of the Glenmorgan QCWA.
