Alison Larard

BAgEcon, MBA, GAICD, 2018 Nuffield Scholar

An enthusiastic beef business specialist with a family interest in Limousin cattle, Alison’s career includes roles in finance, agricultural economics, financial counselling, succession planning, business management consulting, and project management. She is presently the CEO of Southern Gulf NRM after an extensive period working for the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries as a Principal Beef Extension Officer.

Alison is focussed on making whole-of-business improvements for beef operations and lifting the bar for beef industry leadership.  This is reflected in her committee positions on the RFCSNQ PMC (2016-2020) and Queensland Deputy Chair Nuffield Australia (2022-2023), and her passion for developing DAF’s Advancing Beef Leaders program (2020-current).   In 2022-2023, Alison contributed to an ACIAR project in Vanuatu, working with small holder cattle farmers.
